I ordered these boots and received them within 2 days of placing the order. Awesome customer service. When I received them, tried them on they fit and felt great right out of the box! Wore them around for the day with no issues. I look forward to getting years of service out of these in the future! My only complaint is it appears these boots are being discontinued. Haix....Bring these boots back!

Excellent boots! No break in time needed. Lightweight and comfortable. I bought half size up (I always do it for European boots -- Haix, Lowa, La Sportiva etc.) and wide and the fit is great.
Comfort off the charts!
Love these boots. Well made and super comfortable! I like the locking lace system but they are a challenge to get unlocked at the end of my shift as a deputy sheriff. These boots are the only ones I own in a wide size so they are made really narrow. I hope Haix come out with an updated version of these boots because they are currently on clearance.
Great footwear.
Lasted me just under 3 years consisting of everyday work in New England Law Enforcement. Stitching on one boot slowly came undone on the front and side and decided it was time to get another. Sadly I see these are now on clearance and out of my size. Guess I'll try another Haix boot this time around but hope to see these again one day.
Best boot ever
Have yet to find another boot that even comes close to these. I’ve had these for over a year now and they’re are still comfortable. They don’t even look close to being worn and polish nicely. Very high quality and a well made boot. Hopefully they come out with a mid eventually.

still new so I cant do full stars till I see how they do in the future but so far I am impressed and considering another pr to switch out and for back up being on my feet all day constantly walking they r comfy

I've been wearing Haix boots for about 15 years now in both the fire service and police. I have yet to be disappointed with Haix. I am glad I spent the extra cash and purchased the GSG9. Very comfortable boot with no break in time required. Wore them for the first time on duty and they felt like I've had them for years. I am glad I ordered the wide instead of regular as the boot fits a little narrow. Overall excellent boot and I would recommend this boot to anyone.
Great duty boot
I've owned these boots for almost a year. They were a little snug initially, but broke in nicely. They exponentially lighter and way more comfortable than my Acadias. I tried to convince myself the Acadias were the best law enforcement boot, but they don't hold a candle to these. I wish I would have know about Haix when I got into law enforcement 5 years ago, my feet would be thanking me. My pair need to be resoled and the water proofing has faded, but I kind of expect that after a year of use. My Acadias did the same thing. I've worn these on several 8 hour road checks and they have saved my feet. Overall, the most comfortable duty boot I've ever owned. I
Great Boot
I purchased a pair of these boots after several people spoke highly of the company. I have had these boots for approximately 5 months now and I have nothing negative to say about them. They are great all season boots. The front toe has the feel of a steel toe boot without the weight of steel. Will buy these again without any hesitation. Great product from a great company
Best pair of boots I've ever purchased.
As someone who works in corrections, a good quality boot is very important. I have owned the same pair of HAIX GSG9 for over 2 years and I can attest to the durability, breathability, and comfort that this boot provides. The solrs have lasted much longer than I would have expected, I know of other officers who have purchased 3-4 pairs of other brands of boots in those same 2 years and continue to waste their money. HAIX will be the only company I purchase a pair of boots from for the rest of my career. 10/10 would buy again and refer to a friend.
Great Boots
This is my second review. My original review's texts did not appear. I am on my second pair of Black Eagle tactical boots and love those boots but I wanted a "heavier" duty boot. I ordered a size 9 and they fit perfect. Working corrections I am on my feet for long periods of time. These boots are very supportive but are not stiff. You can run in them and it doesn't feel like you are wearing "concrete" on your feet like some boots can feel. The break in time is not to bad, a little longer than the black eagles but when they do they feel great. As for being quiet they are very stealthy for a bigger boot which is surprising, great job in that regard. I will probably use the Black Eagle boots for summer and the GSG9's for winter use. Next purchase is the Black Eagle tactical athletic desert boot for personal use. Haix customer for life.

Almost excellent boot
After sending back the size 8.5 as being too large, I ordered the size 8. Order process as always very easy and fast shipping. After wearing them for a bit, my observation is, that they are lighter in weight than my HAIX Nebraska Pro hiking boots which I normally wear. They are also slightly higher than the Nebraska Pro's. They definitely don't have such a molded foot bed as the Nebraska Pro's. I like the smooth leather and that they come in black. I still need to break them in better. They require more break in than the Nebraska Pro's which is due to the foot bed being straighter. The Lacing system also has the two zone lacing, which is a great system. Of course, these boots don't have the additional outside lacing loops as the Nebraska Pro's. This is probably due to SWAT requirements when it comes to rope work and it creates a smoother outside of the boot. A little slower to lace than the Nebraska Pro's. One thing is the tongue material on these boots, which I think should also be leather. There was also some kind of a fabric label on there, that imho should not be there at a SWAT/GSG9 boot. Easy to remove, but leaves the white ripped label in the seam. I am not a fan of the insole, slightly too slick and rough. I will replace that with a wool felt insole either like the old German Army Bots had or from a archery hunting outfit which produces them "home made". That takes nothing away from the boot, as it is a highly personal thing what insole is to be used. Traditionally, the wool felt ones are changed every day to a second pair and the previous pair can dry. Wool felt "sucks" up sweat and helps to keep your socks dry while still retaining insulation properties.
I will see how these hold up to "office" wear and construction field wear for field observation visits in comparison to the Nebraska Pro's over time.

This is a tactical police boot and is likely why you noticed a difference in weight as they do not have a safety toe like the Nebraska Pro which are made for hiking and forestry work. Due to the full-grain leather used throughout, they can take a little longer to break in because they are not specifically made for hiking/walking. The two-zone Lacing System can take some getting used to, especially if you are used to lacing the Nebraska Pro boots. The tongue is not leather because it makes the boots more breathable and keeps your feet more comfortable and less sweaty when out on the job. We apologize that the insole was not comfortable enough for you but we are glad that you found a solution to fit your needs. The wool insole that you describe is exactly why we encourage our customers to wear our wool blend socks with all our boots to wick away moisture. HAIX GSG9-S
Hello potential buyers, I am an agent with the US Border Patrol. My every day duties require hiking in rough, rocky terrain in 110 degree weather. I am going to break the advantages and disadvantages of the HAIX GSG9-S t down the best I can. I owned these boots for approximately 3 months and used them 10 hours, 5 days a week since I purchased them. First off, the comfort of this boot is extraordinary. I can stand in these boots for hours without any issues. The boots are bulky when looking at them, but surprisingly are light weight. I was worried about blisters, but I only had one on my right ankle in the first week of purchasing them. Hiking up hills and mountains are not an issue with these boots. I am able to sustain a proper posture which helps prevent fatigue or aces and pains. The boots have amazing grip, which makes coming down high elevation less of a struggle. Unfortunately, I do not recommend the default insoles because they are pretty rough on the bottom of my feet and often leave my feet sore, especially descending down hill. I often lose balance due to rocks and with other boots I would roll my ankles. The ankle support of theses boots are adequate and haven't had any issues. The Sun Reflect works well, but due to the extreme conditions I work, the boots took a great amount of cosmetic damage which could have damaged the Sun Reflects functionality. The boots are holding up well to this point and I'll be sure to keep potential buyers updated. In summary, overall these boots have been the best pair I've bought so far.

GSG9 is a great duty boot
I thought the boot was a bit pricey, but then I remembered the last pair I bought for swat lasted me 7 years. These are far more comfortable and light. Great service staff as they entertained my issues of ordering over the phone and not some faceless website

I bought these boots 5 years ago...they are still going strong, can be shined easily and are comfortable...they may cost higher than other boots, however, they are well worth it.

Truly Satisfied
As a correctional officer, I spend long hours on my feet. I currently have 3 pair of Danners that I switch from, trying to relieve my tired, aching feet. Since receiving these boots, my feet have not been sore or tired (and I've put in two 16 hour days in them in the past week). They are so much quieter, lighter and the spring in the heel is great! I haven't experienced any negatives with the break in time that the other reviewers have mentioned , but maybe that's because they seem like such a relief after those heavy, uncomfortable Danners. I am definitely a fan of Haix and will purchase more (because of a shoe addiction and not so much need). Highly recommend these boots to everyone, very well worth the investment!!!

Work boot
This boot is all leather. It's got a spring in the step, lightweight, and easy to shine/clean.
One of my best footwear selections ever!
Bought these for use during EMS shifts, but wanted them for motorcycle riding and sometimes for construction work too. After a little work, have got them to hold a shine very nicely...look great on EMS shifts and for Construction Management. Just returned from riding in heavy rain, and VERY pleased with how dry my feet are. I really hadn't expected the water resistance to be so good from these boots. I've had full leather boots with famous make waterproof membranes that haven't performed as well. Bought them for cooler comfort in the summer, the great water resistance performance is a big plus. These boots are in my book as one of my best footwear purchases ever.
High quality boot
I do a lot of standing,kneeling and walking on a daily basis and I have two concerns with the boot,first one is the insole that it comes with is the most uncomfortable insole I ever had in a boot,it felt like I was walking barefoot on concrete,no cushion what so ever,total rubbish,you will immediately opt for a softer insole like I did after wearing the boot for a week,second the boot does run very narrow so I did what other reviewers did and I ordered a half size up and I also got the Extra wide but when I got the boot in the mail and tried them on they felt tight around my toe area,would be nice if they came in an xx wide size for the people with a little wider then normal foot.
Most comfortable boots ever
I have owned my GSG9's for about 4 years now and have them resoled twice. I have owned numerous boots over the years and nothing compares to these. I have worked assignments were I am on my feet for 8-12 hours in the Florida heat and rain and these boots have made those days a little more tolerable. They hold an excellent shine and have a very professional appearance. I own two other pairs of Haix boots and a pair of the Black Eagle Athletic Low and by far my GSG9 are my favorite.
I highly recommend these for any cop working patrol!

I found Haix boots by chance while searching for a better duty boot. I have worn Matterhorn boots and Danner Acadias but the GSG9s are so much better!
I originally wanted to try the Mission boots but due to the rubberized toe area I was worried they wouldn't polish up correctly (LE work requires a good polish at times). I went with the GSG9s and couldn't be happier. They appear to be a very high quality product and are the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. My pair fit true to size as well. I only wish Haix would import the Ranger BGS model to the US!!!!!!
Best Duty Boot
I've been wearing these boots for about a year and they are absolutely amazing! I was issued Danners and they were horrible. Tried 5.11 and they fell apart. Tried Magnum and they didn't breathe at all. These boots keep my feet from overheating, they keep my feet dry, and I only will only wear these now. The leather shines nicely and holds a shine very well. I would recommend these boots to anyone who stands for long periods of time. I broke mine in on marble and granite and it was fantastic. Take care of your feet, and they take care of you.
The only downside is that over the winter they are not warm enough for negative degree weather.

Great boot
These boots appear to be very high quality, using very nice materials especially the leather used. I would have given a rating of ten, but cannot due to the boots running very small in width and length. I had to reorder another pair a half size bigger then normal, which I have never had to do before with any shoe or boot. And unfortunately can't return the original pair because they were worn outside.
Best boots I've ever worn or owned
I bought a pair of GSG-9s in June of this year and wear them for work everyday. I have never been more comfortable in footwear. My work boots have always had zip sides and I was a little hesitant at first w/ just laces. Little did I know that the Haix lacing system is a big part of the comfort of the boot. These boots breathe like sandals and even in the Tennessee August heat, sweating is much less than I've experienced w/ other boots. The construction is very good and aside from polish (to cover scuff marks on the toes) they still appear almost brand new. I will never buy any other boots but Haix. Wunderbar!!!!!!

Dear Haix, I would like to thank you for making the BEST boot I have ever bought, the HAIX GSG9-S. I wear them for work as an EMT/Security Officer in a Level 2 trauma hospital for at least 12 hours a day, 3-4 days in a row. At the end of the day, my feet are not exhausted, and are not sweaty like with other footwear. Comfort is of up most importance, as I am constantly on my feet, whether patrolling, or responding to codes. I have just ordered some replacement laces as the original ones are almost worn out (just over 1 year), although the rest of the boot is in excellent condition, no signs of falling apart, even the insole is still comfortable! I am also a volunteer firefighter here in Montana, and will look to replace my old station boots with a HAIX pair. I am 6'3", and wear a size 14 US boot, and it is incredibly hard to find a comfortable, well built boot that fulfills a demanding daily job. I wear them daily, through 90+ degree summer heat, through wet springs, and -30 F winters. There just simply is not a better boot anywhere. They were perfect from the first time I put them on, and will be in 4 hours once I report to work. Thank you once again.

Best boots I've tried in 7 years
Great boots from the off with no pinching, tight points or chafing. The quality stands out and they even have decent 'feel' for driving duties, despite the impact-absorbing sole. Like a previous contributor we (can) have hot summers and (always) have wet winters. So far the GSG9s have shrugged it all off.
Comfortable, long lasting
Finally, after over two years I am having to send in my first pair of GSG9-S to be resoled. Once broken in they fit like a dream. At least once a week I tend to be on my feet up to eight hours in a shift. I rarely have the back issues as I had with the other shoes even with my duty gear on. I cannot say enough about these boots. I intend to buy a second pair while the first pair is being resoled. I am very glad I found this boot.

Exceptional
This boot has it all: comfort, quality, support. Had them three months now and they were fantastic the second I put them on, but keep getting better and better as they break-in. The most comfortable boot I've owned and I can tell they will be the longest lasting. They are my first pair of Haix boots but I'm so pleased with them I just bought a pair of the Tactical Mid 20's. Those are like slippers right out of the box. Haix is making a quality product. Very happy I found them!
Best boots money can buy
My 2nd pair ordered. First pair have lasted me 3 years. Daily use boot is fine the sole has worn down after 3 years. Kevlar lining offers added protection from broken glass, nails
Etc. I love the boots and wouldn't wear anything else.
Best boot I ever purchased
I just placed an order for my second pair of GSG9's. I have worn the 1st pair daily for the last 2 years and they are by far the best boots I have owned. I work in corrections and am on my feet constantly. An average boot would only last about 6 months. These boots are with the extra cost and the quality of the workmanship will be obvious for the minute you open the box.
The boots are comfortable in all seasons.
Dear Haix, I would like to thank you for the excellent customer service. I ordered a pair of Haix’s Airpower P7 last year online from Haix that just didn’t fit right. I returned them with no hassle and chose a pair of GSG9’s. These boots are very comfortable and durable. I work in an area with hot summer’s and cold winters. The boots are comfortable in all seasons. I have had the boots for over six months with hard daily use and they show little wear and tear.
