Great Boot!
Had some concern that they were factory seconds, but they look fine to me. Light weight and fit well. One of the few side-zip boots that I can get my feet in and out of without loosening the laces. Have worn them for a few shifts now and love them.

Always buy wide....
Boots are lightweight and would be comfortable if I had gone with the WIDE instead of regular. Since boots are not the wide, I have sprained my foot.
If you are looking to buy these, make sure you go wide if you are a male with regular width feet.

this is my 4th pair of these boots. I have 2 active pairs, and 2 retired pairs. They are worn every day, and do not live an easy life. Each pair lasts about 2 years of extremely hard wear. I work construction in these boots, and they handle everything from miles of off and on road hiking, hunting, camping, riding motorcycles and atvs, and general day to day wear.
When i bought my first pair i was walking a 4 mile security route every day in heavy gear. I have a plate and 9 screws in one of my ankles, so a good pair of boots was important. These boots were WAY more comfortable than the 5.11 boots i traded for them, and they last about twice as long.
My only complaint is the lace pocket on the tongue, good idea, poorly executed.
Worth the investment
From the customer service, online purchase simplicity and overall comfort for an 8 hour day these boots were worth the investment!
I alternated between my 511 and UA boots but the second pair deteriorated quicker so I have replaced them with Haix.

Lightweight boot have had one pair most comfortable pair I have owned they were the brown colored wore them for training and daily wear. I decided to order black so I could wear them with my duty uniform. Wore them two days and cannot or should I say will not wear them anymore due to them causing me to have a bruised Achilles tendon as a result. I will stick with other styles.

Thank you for taking the time to review the Black Eagle 2.0 T High Side Zip. I apologize that the boots did not work out for you. Up until recently, the brown version was made in a different facility than the black version. This made the brown version wider than the black one. We have since added wide widths to the black version, so you may want to consider that in the future. We are happy to hear that you like our boots and will still consider HAIX in the future. I purchased a pair of these boots (standard, not factory seconds) in feb 2017. In a few months the sole had started to separate from the upper. I informed HAIX customer service and sent pics, which they immediately followed with an "OMGWTFBBQ!! SEND THEM BACK!" so i did and they got me a new pair just in time for hurricane irma to make a direct hit on my home town. I wear these boots every day every where i go and they have been stalwart and up to every task i have thrown them in. They are WAY more comfortable than the comparable 5.11 boots and have lasted me twice as long. Yesterday (19 july 2019) i noticed a small tear in the upper. After further inspection some of the rubber is separating from the upper aswell) the boots have lasted me nearly 2 years of hard everyday use.
Seriously, these boots tho.
